Lloydminster is unique in the country as being the only “border city”, i.e. our city spans across the provincial borders of Saskatchewan and Alberta. We therefore have the advantage of having 2 different provincially-regulated housing bodies, the Saskatchewan Housing Authority that serves the Saskatchewan residents of the City, and ourselves that operate on the Alberta side; as well as a Metis Housing body that serves Indigenous, Metis and other persons and also Carleton Housing which serves the Indigenous population.

In striving to fulfill our mandate from the Alberta government, we are a participating member of a number of professional associations including Alberta Seniors & Community Housing Assoc., Alberta Public Housing Administrators’ Assoc., the Lloydminster Chamber of Commerce and the Lloydminster Construction Assoc.
